Save Our Sea at a glance

Save Our Sea (SOS), a not-for-profit association is dedicated to build a Blue Marine Economy through protection and effective management of marine biodiversity. It is also a platform for Marine Conservationists and other creative people committed to protect marine environment. SOS registered under section 28 of the Companies Act, 1994 from Ministry of Commerce in Bangladesh (Reg No: 10/2016).

We continue to grow and learn as a non-profit organization, seeking out and supporting the best and brightest people from environmental science, researcher or any conservationist for meeting their needs make a real and lasting impact for the health of our Bay of Bengal. SOS believes dissemination of visual contents will hopefully be effective to build awareness among public about underwater world and marine conservation.

Objective

  • To do promotion for conservation, education, training & research in all matters related to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG-14), marine environment management, focusing primarily on charismatic threatened wildlife and their habitats.
  • To do dissemination of knowledge and encourage sustainable ocean economy.
  • To identify marine resources by exploration and conserve the marine ecosystem of Bay of Bengal.
  • Advancing the scientific, technical and practical aspects of ocean health management to safeguard the cyclone through mangrove & coral reef.
